I should take advantage of the fact that I'm in an 'up' mood today by setting some targets.
Sooooo....I am hoping to visit my friend in Antwerp over Easter weekend, and if we discount this Tuesday's weigh in, there are 6 more until then.
I currently weight 15st 9lb (I think) - let's be optimistic and hope I get down to 15st 8lb on Tuesday - over the next 6 weigh-ins, I'd like to lose 9lb. Now, I think that may be a little too high as I'm probably averaging about a pound a week, but I may as well try, eh?
That would take me into the 14s which would quite awesome considering I started the year in the 16s.
If I could lose another half a stone a month after that...I'd be at 11.7 st by my birthday - not where I wanted to be, but it would be good. I'd probably be about a size 14 then (seems crazy when I'm a 16-18 now that I'd only have dropped by that much, sigh). Could be 10.7 st by Christmas....still overweight, but getting there....
Fingers crossed? Would have lost 6 stone in a year...which would be good. Not amazing. But good all the same.
Gonna have roasted veg and salmon fillets for dinner - reckon it will be about 14 points....which will take me up to 24 points. Yummy!
Will top up the remainder with brie and crackers, om nom nom.
6 stone in a year is a MASSIVE amount. You know better than I whether it's healthy to lose that much, that fast - but do bear in mind that as you get lighter, it will take more work and less eating to lose weight. I'm only about 4 lbs off my ideal weight, but it's RIDICULOUSLY difficult for me to get to it and keep it. (Not impossible, but I can't be teetotal forever, and I love chocolate.)
ReplyDeleteDo not be disappointed as it gets harder. Start setting different types of goals - such as distance and time for runs, and so on.
But I'm SO looking forward to seeing you at size 14, as you'll be HOT. Time to get you some damn confidence, eh?

Well, it's half a stone a month which I think is generally quite a reasonable amount to lose. Especially as technically, if I actually got up off my arse and tried to do more exercise than I do currently, and was a little more saintly on the diet, I could lose at least 8lb a month if not 10lb a month at the moment, cos I have so much to lose.
DeleteI sometimes think when it's that hard to lose the last few pounds, it's because you don't actually NEED to lose the last few pounds and your body wants you to leave it alone ;-)
I felt fat at 9st 7lb...feels stupid now, eh??
